A feisty spirit, full of grit. A heart on fire that's always lit. Won't back down on all her dreams; She knows to utilize her steam. Thinking big--outside the box; To dismantle all her limiting blocks. Chasing dreams and blazing trails. Learning, then adjusts her sails. She knows there's nothing in her way.
Follows her compass. Never strays. Always shaking up perspective, Because she is so self-reflective. Teaching, inspiring to reach high-- Determined everyone can fly.

The Mind Behind The Books
I have not always been creative. I have not always been a writer. And I most definitely have not always been imaginative, let alone intuitive. Heck, I was the farthest thing from any of those descriptions for the majority of my life.
Rewind 12 years ago and picture this:
I was an analytical, left-brained, logic-machine/elite athlete who was studying sports medicine. I thought in a very linear way--A leads to B which causes C, which is how I was taught to think.

2018 Nautilus Book Award Winner
I am beyond thrilled to announce that Mayva O'Meere, Creationeer was recognized as a 2018 Nautilus Book Award Winner in the children's illustrated fiction category. It still feels surreal--in a 'pinch me' type way. Since launching my first book, I dreamed of winning an award. I did think this dream was fairly lofty and more of a pipe dream, so it is pretty crazy to have received the honour with my second self-published children's book.
